Here is another of Hugo's epics. At a quick glance it looks like a whole lot of mess with a few clear subjects. But the weird and cool thing about technology is that it allows us to employ tactics that can reveal more to a story told in images. Like ghost-like plumes of smoke or glares of light in a dull photograph, this painting by Hugo hides a lot of its real message. Of course, this is said not as if he had planned it this way, but just as a reference to a discovery we came about as we were uploading the photo of the work and tried to apply a filter to improve its viewing quality. Observe below the outcome:
Although the sketch lines are the same, applying a contrast between a black background and neon colors, the piece is able to offer a much more cohesive storyline of an "alien" world gone mad. There is a sense of alternate personalities of the figures in a much more action-driven context. What do you see?
Hu is an artist by nature and an entrepreneur at heart. He creates the world around him, learning every day that the only limits to his accomplishments are the ones set forth by himself.
